MSK Radiology 4U: The Premiere Musculoskeletal Imaging Resource
Main Article Content
Abstract
In an era that embraces technology, access to information has now become easier than ever. The introduction of
smartphones and tablets has translated into a portable wealth of information. This has resulted in new and exciting opportunities for specialties such as radiology. Today’s smartphones provide applications (“apps”), which allow viewing of high-quality imaging in different imaging modalities and enable access to images remotely via a handheld device. Not only is this playing a role in day-to-day reporting but has also created possibilities in the field of medical education that were previously thought unimaginable.
This is what a group of highly specialized musculoskeletal (MSK) radiologists from the Royal Orthopedic Hospital, Birmingham, set out to do with the advent of the “MSK RADIOLOGY 4U” which is available as a free app on iOS and Android as well as a website www.mskradiology4u.co.uk.
